Until I started to teach Sunday School.
And, well....here I am.
I am a very curious person, and I love exploring, so using technology, although it doesn't always come naturally to me, is a big part of what I do in my classroom, I know I can't blow up a computer, and so far, I haven't lost anything I haven't been able to retrieve!
I also love to read, and you'll find me talking about books a lot on my blog. I'm a sucker for a good bookstore. Gimme a cup of something warm - coffee or tea, usually decaf (except in the morning) - and a good book and I'm happy.
After my first husband passed away many years ago, I thought I'd be going it alone, raising three kids and teaching. And I did, until this great guy came along and jumped on board with our crazy family of now, three young adult children: a son and two daughters. Bless his heart! He joined our family when they were all teenagers!
Outside of school, you can find me happiest running around the neighborhood (slow and steady is my favorite speed), gardening, singing, and cooking.
I started making and selling products on TeachersPayTeachers in 2012. I think reading and writing are tied together, so a lot of my lessons combine the two. I also believe there's enormous satisfaction in working hard and I try to create products that engage students while making them think. I love to create novel studies, fluency, and comprehension lessons.
Because I write about books so often:
